I've meant to update this a bunch of times but I kept getting distracted. I cleaned up my diet last week because I was eating too much and I gained 2 lbs. I'm sticking with 5 small meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks in between) 1 portion lean protein 1 portion healthy carb try to get veggies in twice a day and Shakeology for breakfast. I also get 2 cheat meals a week instead of 1 cheat day. Since I started last Monday I went down 2.6 lbs! I really love the 2 free meals a week vs a whole day because I would eat unhealthy foods just because I could and I would end up feeling sick by the end of the day.
Now for the workout changes, I returned Chalean Extreme and ordered Turbo Fire which I will be starting on Friday because I think it will give me better results. Since I started Shakeology and CE last month I've lost 2.5 inches from my waist and 3 from my hips which is good, but I feel that I can do better. I entered the Beachbody Challenge and I really want to get dramatic results! Turbo Fire doesn't have as much weight lifting, so I am planning to start lifting twice a week and do yoga/pilates once a week. I've been sticking to my running plan and I've run 5 miles so I know I'll be good for the 10k in October, I'm just not sure I'll meet my goal of under 1 hr because I'm still pretty slow but who knows! 14 more lbs to lose by the end of October.. I'm going to do it! Hopefully my running will get faster once m weight goes down. Something else that I am excited about is the decision to get my personal trainer certification! I think that my life is going in a positive direction and I want to keep it that way :)
Life isn't always easy with an infant and a toddler, but I am determined to get back into shape and be a good role model for my kids.

Early Bird
I am finally getting used to waking up extra early to work out! Yesterday I woke up at 4:15 so I could get Burn it Off (which was killer), Recharge (yoga, it felt really good but was still challenging) and 30 min run done before the kids woke up. We went berry and fruit picking and it was nice, I'll post pictures... one day maybe haha. Today I slept until 5 and did Burn 3 which was only 30 mins! It focused mainly on shoulders, calves, and lower body. It was my least favorite so far and I felt like I wasn't doing a few of the calf exercises correctly because I didn't feel a burn. I definitely worked my poor shoulders! I'm going to go on the bike later and do some intervals, a 3.5 mile run tomorrow, and then a well deserved rest day on Sunday where I plan to be a total bum! :)

18 lbs down!
I lost a total of 18 lbs from doing the 60 day slimdown!! I'll post before and after pictures later. I'm really happy, that means only 14 more until my pre pregnancy weight and a total of 30 more until my goal weight.

Goals
I thought I'd type my first post one handed while feeding the baby a bottle with the other.. got to love multitasking! At the end of this week I'll have completed Lindsay Brin's 60 Day Slimdown which has been perfect for the postnatal period. I gained 40 lbs with the pregnancy, have lost 16 lbs since starting the program, and still have 16 more to go. (I lost 20 after the birth and gained 12 back within the first month... stress eating is no good!) Pants that I couldn't button without fat hanging over are now too big so I would say it's been a success... :) I'll post before and after pictures once I'm done!
I am going to start Beachbody's ChaLean Extreme on Monday and am really excited! Just google before and after pictures and you'll see why. I was originally going to do P90X but after looking at all of the programs ChaLean's seem a lot more fun and Extreme looks like it will fit in perfectly with my running schedule. I'm also going to start drinking Shakeology in place of lunch and I'm really curious to see if it's as great as everyone says it is... we will see!
My fitness goals are to run a 5k in September, run a 10k in October, get back to 146 by October, run a half marathon in March, and be back to 130 by April. My ultimate goal is to maintain 130 by making fitness and healthy eating a permanent part of my life... working out is easy for me but eating healthy has always been more of a challenge. I've struggled a lot I finally feel like I've found the perfect eating plan for me. More on that later...
