Life isn't always easy with an infant and a toddler, but I am determined to get back into shape and be a good role model for my kids.

Back on Track!
Last week was stressful and I was tired, I ate crappy foods and didn't work out every day. This week I am going to make sure I get enough sleep, drink enough water, and don't work out too much in a day because I felt completely burnt out after week 1! My workouts the past 3 days were awesome, I feel great. I upped my weights on CE and it made a huge difference. I felt more tired and crappy last week when I missed my workouts than I do from waking up early and doing them. Eating 100% clean hasn't been a priority this week, I need to work on that but I'm not pigging out and stuffing my face with cookies :) Right now waiting for news about Hurricane Irene and then going to decide whether to leave early... I am not sticking around if it's going to hit us!!

Busy!
I've been pretty busy lately, but I've been keeping up with my workouts! I did miss running this morning because I woke up later and by the time I started to run T woke up, and then J woke up right after him so I'll have to do it tomorrow instead. My eating habits have been pretty crappy, so I have to fix that. I'll post more when I have time :)

Beautiful Day
I finished my 3.5 miles run pain free! It was the perfect day to run, it felt like running in air conditioned wind and it was so nice. Once I got home I drank a shakeology shake, stretched and foam rolled. I recently started using the foam roller, and I love love love it! It feels soo good on my back, hamstrings, hips, quads, and calves. I didn't end up going bike riding yesterday because my body was so sore it felt like I was going into rigor mortis so I went after my run. My legs were still a little tired so I decided to do an "easy" 10 mile ride instead of 30 mins of intervals. The first 5 miles were amazing, it was perfect. The last 5 miles I rode against the wind and my poor legs hated me, but it was definitely a good workout day!
I haven't really had many bad runs since I started running again 4 weeks postpartum (minus the minor injuries). Listening to music while I run has made the runs a million times more enjoyable. Once I get down to my old weight I will be faster and I don't think I will get some of the pains I have been having. I'm going to go to the running shoe store and see if my gait is different.. I feel like my shoes aren't giving me the support I need. I should be picking up a double jogger on Wednesday!! It is the perfect price as long as I sell my single I will break even. I really love my single but it has to go...
We were supposed to go to Busch Gardens today but my husband is sick :( He has a fever and now his throat is sore which is getting worse... my in-laws are here so that is why I was able to do my workouts outside today. I think today is going to be a beach day.. and I definitely am going to take advantage and get a nap in while I can!

Early Bird
I am finally getting used to waking up extra early to work out! Yesterday I woke up at 4:15 so I could get Burn it Off (which was killer), Recharge (yoga, it felt really good but was still challenging) and 30 min run done before the kids woke up. We went berry and fruit picking and it was nice, I'll post pictures... one day maybe haha. Today I slept until 5 and did Burn 3 which was only 30 mins! It focused mainly on shoulders, calves, and lower body. It was my least favorite so far and I felt like I wasn't doing a few of the calf exercises correctly because I didn't feel a burn. I definitely worked my poor shoulders! I'm going to go on the bike later and do some intervals, a 3.5 mile run tomorrow, and then a well deserved rest day on Sunday where I plan to be a total bum! :)

Cardio!
Yesterday I did Burn Intervals, Ab Burner, ran for 30 mins and played a little tennis! I slept well haha. Burn Intervals was an INTENSE workout, I stood up to change the dvd and I almost fell into the TV. I was happy to run without any pain!! It was a very slow run, but it's better than nothing. I did Burn II today and it was challenging, I increased my weights but I think I need to add more on next time. I've never really sweat while lifting but with these dvds I do which is a good thing :) I can already see a little change in my arms. I took the kids to see a magician today and J behaved for the first half which is better than normal. We're going to go pick fruit with some friends tomorrow, that should be fun!

18 lbs down!
I lost a total of 18 lbs from doing the 60 day slimdown!! I'll post before and after pictures later. I'm really happy, that means only 14 more until my pre pregnancy weight and a total of 30 more until my goal weight.

Lazy Sundays
Today was a perfect lazy day! I loved spending it with my boys, I am truly blessed. Anyway, I skipped the run today because I was still hurting a little and I didn't want to chance it... I can't wait to get out there again! I mixed the shakeology with skim milk and natural peanut butter today and OMG such a difference, I could have drank a bucket full of it haha. Seriously, it was delicious. I start CE tomorrow, 5 am here I come!

Parade
Our little town had their 125th birthday parade today, and it was really nice! We saw some friends and the kids loved it. J (oldest) got a Buzz Lightyear fishing pole and his first pets.... two hermit crabs. I actually got them both to "nap" at the same time today! J decided to play instead of sleep so he has been in a wonderful mood.. never take a cranky two year old out in public, it just ends badly. Usually with him screaming and whining and people staring.

Blow Out Diapers and Bikinis
One benefit of exercising today: While I was out biking our two year old's diaper literally blew up! My husband said the poop shot out of the sides and he had to rush him into the shower to clean him up haha... thankfully I had left the house in time ;) I played tennis earlier in the day with my friend Becky and we met a girl who is going to teach us the actual rules of the game next week which will be really nice. I mean not that there is anything wrong with how we play.... we have fun :)
Tomorrow is my final 60 day slimdown workout with Post-natal Boot Camp which is killer. Going to try to run again on Saturday and hope my hip doesn't act up.... I hate not running! But it's better to take a few days off then to push through and really hurt myself.. but it's still irritating.
My husband took the before pictures today for when I start ChaLean Extreme and let's just say they got me extra motivated!! I put on a bikini that I wore last summer and wow...I'm surprised it didn't explode like the diaper. I took another set of shots in a sports bra and shorts just in case. I'm not really sure I want anyone to see all of my fat rolls in a bikini even if I look awesome afterward... we shall see!!!!

Goals
I thought I'd type my first post one handed while feeding the baby a bottle with the other.. got to love multitasking! At the end of this week I'll have completed Lindsay Brin's 60 Day Slimdown which has been perfect for the postnatal period. I gained 40 lbs with the pregnancy, have lost 16 lbs since starting the program, and still have 16 more to go. (I lost 20 after the birth and gained 12 back within the first month... stress eating is no good!) Pants that I couldn't button without fat hanging over are now too big so I would say it's been a success... :) I'll post before and after pictures once I'm done!
I am going to start Beachbody's ChaLean Extreme on Monday and am really excited! Just google before and after pictures and you'll see why. I was originally going to do P90X but after looking at all of the programs ChaLean's seem a lot more fun and Extreme looks like it will fit in perfectly with my running schedule. I'm also going to start drinking Shakeology in place of lunch and I'm really curious to see if it's as great as everyone says it is... we will see!
My fitness goals are to run a 5k in September, run a 10k in October, get back to 146 by October, run a half marathon in March, and be back to 130 by April. My ultimate goal is to maintain 130 by making fitness and healthy eating a permanent part of my life... working out is easy for me but eating healthy has always been more of a challenge. I've struggled a lot I finally feel like I've found the perfect eating plan for me. More on that later...
